How to go from Serving to Outstanding!

Not everybody can be famous. But everybody can be great, because greatness is determined by service. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato or Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love.” (Martin Luther King, Jr).

“Life’s most urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’ (Martin Luther King, Jr).

Great companies are great because of the people they serve. A man can be famous all by himself. Just run faster, box harder, win more than the next man and you can become famous all by yourself. But a man cannot be great without others!

Steve Jobs built apple gave us the iphone.  Zuckerberg built social media and gave us facebook. Each of these show us that the great we great because of the people they served.

Great people do business with a big name company, but it’s the people, because of their radical devotion to a brands’ name that make the brand great. Apple created brand followers who became advocates and it was the advocates that made apple great.

It may surprise you but it is not who you say you are, that will built your ministries reputation, no matter what label you use or how much status you give yourself. In today’s ministry scene where most folks “label themselves” as prophet this and apostle that and bishop something else. May I remind you that it is not who you say you are but who your followers say you are that will define your authenticity and ministry. Your job is to serve others and to do that, you don’t need a brand name, or a title, but you do need humility and a love for others that is greater than your love of yourself and a passion for others than longs to see them succeed more than you.

Here’s to YOUR success.

Paul.
